My name is Tara Allington and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I am studying Crop and Soil Science (Soil emphasis) with a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

So far as a student at UWRF I have taken several GISci courses including Introduction to GISci, Map Design, Quantitative Techniques for Cartographers, and Theory and Methods of GISci. Making maps is very fun and interesting, yet requires great attention to detail and a lot of patience. With enough effort you can make some pretty neat maps. So, here is a portfolio of some of the maps I have created using ESRI's ArcMap 10.1, Adobe Illustrator CS6, and Adobe Photoshop CS6.
